We woke up in Antwerp pretty keen to make up for last night’s culinary fail. Dee & I went for a walk and ended up sitting in the main square eating croissants in our activewear. Besties in Belgium, yo.
And of course, we couldn’t leave Belgium without buying a little chocolate and some waffles… Which we ate in the epic entrance hall of the Antwerp train station, trying to decide where we’d place our bedroom if we lived there.
Then onto Breda… For Redhead Days! (Roodenhagen Dagen, as translated by Dee).
First impressions of Breda… Oh my god, I think I’ll just stay here for six months, or move here forever. It’s so idyllic and Dutch. Our apartment is on the top (third) floor of a building on a sweet little strip with lots of cute cafes, and just around the corner is a series of cobblestoned streets with leafy trees, the most lovely stores and people dining alfresco! Dee and I walked down the street squeeeeealing in delight. Haven’t taken any photos yet, but will rectify that ASAP.
The program for Redhead Days looks super daggy, and all of a sudden I feel really self conscious about my hair colour – ha! But we’ll check out a few of the activities… We did travel all this way, after all! In any case, I’m glad the festival has brought me to this beautiful little town…
Stay tuned for many photos of many gingers!
